Plain English. This notice covers the lead data you capture with ScanIQ and the account you set up to capture it.
ScanIQ is lead capture software for exhibitors at exhibitions, trade shows and conferences. You run it on your own device; we do not attend the event or act as an event organiser.
The details you photograph or type about a visitor (name, job title, company, contact details), the note you add, the consent status you record, and the company information we look up publicly (for example Companies House and the company website).
To let you follow up enquiries you collected at your stand, to score leads against the ideal customer profile you set, and to produce your export file.
You are the controller of the lead data. For business-to-business follow-up you should rely on legitimate interests, and record explicit consent where the visitor gives it. ScanIQ records the consent status and note you choose on every saved lead.
By default the photographed image is discarded as soon as the text has been read. Text and structured fields are what we keep. You can turn photo retention on in Settings if you need the image itself.
Lead records are kept for 24 months by default, configurable in Settings. Photos are deleted after OCR by default. You can delete an event and every lead attached to it at any time from Settings.
We use AI processing to read images and to score leads, and a payment provider to take the one-off event fee. We do not sell lead data or share it with event organisers.
Visitors whose details you hold can ask for a copy, correction or deletion of their record. As the controller you can satisfy this by editing a lead, or deleting it, from the lead detail screen.
Deleting your data
Settings → Danger zone → Delete all data removes every lead, company record, rep and export attached to an event, then the event itself. This cannot be undone.
